Shortened halftime breaks will be on the agenda at the AFLPA’s directors and delegates conference this week, but Bulldog Easton Wood can’t understand the uproar.
The AFL is likely to settle on a 15-minute halftime break this year after an initial proposal by the league to slash the break to 10 minutes.
AFLPA chief executive Paul Marsh said the subject would be discussed by the players this week, but Wood suggested it would not be much of an issue at all.

“I’ve never seen something so small cause such an uproar. We’re talking about 10 minutes aren’t we?” the AFLPA board member said.
“It’s amazing that’s become such a topic of conversation, but I suppose without games currently on at the moment we’ve got to talk about something.
“That will get raised, I’m not sure where we’ll land on it. I don’t think I’ve even got a stance on it myself at the moment.”
