Carlton has confronted a few home truths, engaging in a player-only session of “honest conversation” as it looks to turn its fortunes around.

And Blues co-captain Sam Docherty hopes the 93-point hammering at the hands of Greater Western Sydney sparks “brutality” in a team he wants to see “breathing fire” against St Kilda this weekend.

The lengthy meeting which delayed Monday’s training session saw all 46 players on Carlton’s list behind closed doors for what Docherty described as a worthwhile exercise that encompassed workrate, leadership and working hard off the field. .
