EVERYONE has an opinion – which code is tougher, AFL or NRL?
AFL club Port Adelaide and NRL club the Penrith Panthers have put it to the test in a full-on battle of strength and skill in the clash of codes.
The two clubs worked together to design a series of NRL and AFL approved challenges, then nominated their best players based on each individual challenge and skillset.
Port Adelaide star Steven Motlop went up against the Penrith Panthers’ Dallin Watene-Zelezniak in a trick-shot challenge to test kick accuracy.
Port’s biggest kick Trent McKenzie challenged Blues halfback and Panthers playmaker James Maloney in a long-range kick challenge.
In the gym, Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary went up against Port’s Hamish Harlett in the bench press challenge.
The Power players were successful in two of the three challenges, winning the kicking disciplines and losing in the weight room.
