PORT Adelaide forward Todd Marshall has been cleared of any damage to his right shoulder after taking a knock to the AC joint in his comeback match in the SANFL on Saturday.
But Marshall’s return to the AFL remains uncertain as the Power manages the teenager’s mental and physical rebuild after family tragedy.
Marshall, 19, stepped back to competitive football with the Magpies at Alberton Oval on Saturday when he was taken out of the game in the third term.

The young forward — who took an impressive mark early in the game — was kept on the bench to avoid a repeat knock to the sore shoulder in a match that was beyond Port Adelaide’s reach. He finished the match with 0.2 from seven disposals plus one mark in the Magpies’ 79-point loss.
Marshall last played AFL on April 15 and spent almost a month away from Alberton with compassionate leave following his father Robert’s death. He has lost both parents in the past six months with his mother Mary dying from cancer in October.
There is no timeline on Marshall’s return to the AFL.
