The Hawks welcome back Burgoyne for his first game since injuring his hamstring against St Kilda in Round 2, but have left out popular SuperCoach defender Jack Scrimshaw, giving some 82,000 SuperCoaches a headache.

Late list addition Jonathon Marsh will make a shock return to the AFL with the Saints naming the former Pie among four ins.

Marsh, 23, hasn’t played AFL football for almost three years, after returning to the WAFL after a stint at Collingwood.

He joined the Saints on the eve of the season under the AFL’s new supplemental selection period rules.

Marsh had spent two seasons impressing for East Fremantle — and briefly trained with Richmond over summer — before the Saints swooped.

He will help bolster a Saints backline missing Jake Carlisle, Dylan Roberton and Jarryn Geary. Top draft pick Jack Bytel has succumbed to a season-ending back injury.

Gold Coast has left out top pick Jack Lukosius for its trip to West Coast, and its carnage down at Carlton as they name eight new faces on an extended bench to replace injured guns Kade Simpson, Mitch McGovern, Matthew Kreuzer and Nic Newman.

Richmond has suffered a fresh injury blow with key defender David Astbury to miss Saturday’s clash with the Western Bulldogs. Astbury badly rolled an ankle in the Tigers’ round-six win over Melbourne. Shai Bolton and Connor Menadue come into the side.

The defender joins premiership players Trent Cotchin (hamstring), Jack Riewoldt (knee), Jack Graham (hamstring) and Shaun Grigg (knee, hip) on the sidelines for Richmond, who are eighth with a 4-2 record heading into the game.

Port Adelaide midfielder Karl Amon returns from injury in Friday night’s AFL clash with Collingwood at Marvel Stadium. He replaces the injured Robbie Gray.

The Pies welcome back Ben Reid for his first game since Round 10 last year, with Jamie Elliott also back in the side to replace Mason Cox and Travis Varcoe.
