RICHMOND make three changes but Dion Prestia is not one of them, while Geelong has left out Scott Selwood and the Western Bulldogs snub Tom Boyd again. SEE THE TEAMS
MELBOURNE coach Simon Goodwin has dropped speedster Jayden Hunt for the first time in two years.
In a sign of the increased depth at the Dees, Hunt has been sent back to the VFL after only six possessions in the narrow win over the Lions on Saturday night. AFL DAILY: ALL OF THE DAY’S BREAKING FOOTY NEWS SUPERCOACH TIPS: CHAMPION DATA ROUND 3 FORMGUIDE Cameron Pedersen was also axed for versatile tall Sam Frost and Dean Kent for Saturday’s clash against North Melbourne. Hunt has provided electric run out of the back half, playing every game since Round 4 2016, but the Dees have lost patience. SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL THE TEAMS FOR ROUND 3 Frost’s recall could lead to a rejig of the backline and provide a boost for new recruit Jake Lever. Lever has played as the second key defender in his first two games at Melbourne but Frost could play that role in his return, allowing Lever more freedom to intercept. North Melbourne is unchanged after last week’s impressive win over St Kilda on Good Friday. It means the solid form of veteran Jarrad Waite has again kept exciting youngster Mason Wood in the VFL. Wood is one of North Melbourne’s top young players but Brad Scott wants the goalkicker to build form in the seconds and earn his spot. Richmond has welcomed back premiership star Nick Vlastuin but Dion Prestia was withdrawn from the 25-man squad on Friday as he continues to recover from injury. Top draft pick and livewire small forward Jack Higgins is also in line to make his debut. Josh Caddy (suspended), Shai Bolton and Corey Ellis (omitted) are all out. Hawthorn regained key defender James Frawley for the clash with Harry Morrison and Will Langford also returning in place of the suspended James Sicily and injured pair Ryan Schoenmakers and Shaun Burgoyne. Geelong has made just one change with Esava Ratugolea in for Mark O’Connor. West Coast are unchanged after disposing of the Bulldogs last week. Luke Beveridge has regained some much needed experience with Tory Dickson, Jack Redpath and Mitch Wallis replacing Jackson Trengove (shoulder), Jordan Roughead (concussion) and Lukas Webb. Essendon has also made key changes with Ozario Fantasia, David Myers and Mark Baguley returning in place of Michael Hartley, Josh Begley and Will Langford. St Kilda swung the axe, dropping Koby Stevens, Jack Steele and Hunter Clark among four changes following it big loss on Good Friday. The Saints have named Rohan Marshall, Luke Dunstan, Brandon White and debutant Nick Coffield. Billy Longer misses with injury. Collingwood made two changes as it tries to register its first win of the season in a Friday night blockbuster against Carlton. Tim Broomhead (broken leg) and Darcy Moore (hamstring) will both miss, with Ben Reid and Mason Cox returning. Cox is available after serving a one-match suspension but is not an immediate selection after a shocker in Round 1 when he failed to take a mark. Carlton has regained ruckman Matthew Kreuzer and midfielder Matthew Kennedy. LIVE stream the 2018 Toyota AFL Premiership on FOX SPORTS.
