CARLTON has confirmed its interest in a trio of trade targets and expects star midfielder Bryce Gibbs to remain a Blue in 2018. RECAP all the day’s AFL news.

CARLTON football boss Andrew McKay is confident Bryce Gibbs will be a Blue in 2018 but says there’s still a lot of work to do if the club is to capture its trade period targets.

The Blues are set to be big players in the AFL’s exchange period, which kicks off next week. A host of players have been linked to Ikon Park, including Giants Matt Kennedy and Devon Smith and former Brisbane captain Tom Rockliff. Carlton enters the trade period armed with draft picks No.3, 38 and 56. After a failed trade request last year, McKay said Gibbs was yet to announce his intentions.
