WOODVILLE-West Torrens coach Michael Godden hasn’t had to say much to his players in the wake of the Noarlunga nightmare last weekend as they prepare to confront Adelaide at home on Sunday.

Godden said there were no words to offer to motivate the players more than they wanted to motivate themselves following the 83-point thrashing from South Adelaide.

“They are a proud and strong group who I trust completely,” Godden said.

“I have not had to put much on them, they have pretty much controlled most of it themselves.”

The Eagles regain key defenders Patrick Giuffreda and Matthew Goldsworthy from injury, while the Crows have Curtly Hampton, Kyle Hartigan, Kyle Cheney and Harrison Wigg back in the line-up.

“We could not get our hands on the football against South,” Godden said.

“We can’t do too much if we don’t have our hands on the footy, we have got to get the ball.”

The Eagles will clinch the minor premiership with a win while the Crows are still in the race to qualify for the finals.

The battle highlights the Eagles’ annual community day, which also involves a juniors lightning carnival and kids activities.

The game will be broadcast on Life FM, the only minor round SANFL game on radio this season.

Norwood coach Jarrod Cotton will also be seeking a response to the shock belting from Central District last week when the Redlegs meet Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval today.

Midfielders Andrew Kirkan and Tim Webber are back for the Redlegs, who face an imposing task against a Port side loaded with AFL names.

The Redlegs must win to keep their top three hopes alive and the double chance in the finals.
