WEST Adelaide star Jason Porplyzia is to increase his already impressive work at the Bloods after agreeing to terms for next season.
As well as having a significant influence on the field with his class and leadership, the former Adelaide Crow’s involvement with the Centre of Excellence program has been raised.
“It’s tremendous to have Jason back for next season and the club will benefit from his increased presence,’’ Bloods football manager Andrew Marks said.
“He is the Centre of Excellence co-ordinator and will provide valuable input into the football programs from under 13s to senior with his experience.’’
Porplyzia returned to Richmond Oval this season and was a crucial ingredient in the Bloods ending their premiership drought.
His qualities were recognised with the Neil Kerley Medal as the Bloods’ best and fairest player this season.
Kaine Stevens, rated the player of the finals by the Bloods, has also re-signed for next season.
The Bloods have created history by appointing Naomi Maidment as coach of the under 16 side.
Maidment, who recently gained her level 2 coaching accreditation, was the team’s assistant coach this season and was on charge of the midfield and forwards.
