A former player at the Panthers, Wright has taken the Woodville-West Torrens reserves to the past two premierships.
Troy Jacques, who coached the Panthers reserves last year, has taken on the role of backline coach.
The changes to the coaching staff have been necessary after Kym Cobbs accepted the senior coaching position at Henley while Bretty Backwell has resigned due to increasing work and family commitments.
Adam Blakely will be the reserves coach after being an assistant with the club’s under 18 side last year.
