Redlegs overhaul side to face Crows in SANFL

NORWOOD has reacted to the loss to North Adelaide with a swag of changes to the line-up to face Adelaide in a round five SANFL clash at The Parade.

NORWOOD coach Jarrod Cotton has not held back in naming his side to face Adelaide at The Parade on Friday night following the poor performance against North Adelaide last week.

Nick Pedro, Luke Wilson and Alex Forster have been sent back to the reserves, while replacements were needed for Jace Bode and Simon Phillips.

Bode unsuccessfully contested a striking charge at the SANFL tribunal and has been given a three-week suspension. Phillips will miss the contest against the Crows due to personal reasons.

Brady Dawe was sidelined for the Roosters debacle, but returns from a hip injury, and Ed Smart will add some pace and carry. Smart has missed three games because of overseas work and study commitments.

The Crows named small forward Lachlan Murphy, promoted to the senior list this season, and hard running wingman Curtly Hampton in a 23-man squad.

Willaston’s Tyson Irlam is a chance to make his league debut. That is the Barossa, Light and Gawler Football Association club which sacked Josh Glenn, who will make his second league appearance for the Redlegs, last month.
