SOUTH Adelaide’s Peter Rolfe is free to front Central District at Hickinbotham Oval on Saturday after being cleared of a striking charge by the SANFL tribunal.

Rolfe faced the tribunal on Tuesday night following an incident involving the forward and Glenelg’s Aaron Joseph in the final quarter at Glenelg Oval on Sunday. Joseph was stretchered from the ground after being concussed.

There was no conclusive vision of the incident and the tribunal heard evidence from Glenelg, the umpires and Rolfe. The tribunal ruled the collision was accidental.

The SANFL match review panel had a busy meeting following the weekend’s round and four players accepted penalties after being charged.

Crows youngster Brad Crouch will miss one match for striking Central District’s Jacob Gillbee at Elizabeth on Saturday.

The actions of Crouch, who was playing just his second game after returning from a broken leg, were deemed to be high and intentional.

Port Adelaide defender Daniel Flynn was banned for two games for making forceful front-on contact with Woodville-West Torrens midfielder Chris Kane at Alberton on Saturday.

It was deemed the contact was high and intentional and the impact of the collision was high.

Glenelg forward Clint Alleway accepted a three-match suspension for striking South Adelaide’s Luke Durdin in the final quarter at Glenelg Oval on Saturday and Bulldogs’ Matthew White was banned for one game for making forceful front-on contact with Adelaide’s Kyle Hartigan.
