Former Magpies midfielder Daniel Kulikowski signs with North Adelaide until end of 2015

NORTH Adelaide’s midfield has been boosted with the signing of former Port Adelaide youngster Daniel Kulikowski.

NORTH Adelaide’s midfield has been boosted with the signing of former Port Adelaide youngster Daniel Kulikowski.

The talented on-baller is contracted to the Roosters until the end of next season after opting to quit VFL club Williamstown to return to Adelaide.

After playing the first 10 rounds for Williamstown, Kulikowski cited homesickness for his decision to approach Roosters coach Ken McGregor last week and he put pen to paper on Friday.

Roosters football manager Darryl Wintle said Kulikowski had been a priority target after the Magpies released most of their players when they became the Power reserves.

“He was a high-priority recruit but he chose to go to Williamstown,’’ Wintle said.

“He rang Ken last week to have a chat.

“With the departure of Chad O’Sullivan it opened up an opportunity, things worked out well with Williamstown and we were able to sign him until the end of next year.

“We rate him highly. He is fit and has a presence on the field.’’

Kulikowski trained with the Roosters on Monday night and is available for selection for the clash against South Adelaide at Noarlunga on Saturday.
