Neil Vea Vea replaces Warwick McGinty in Glenelg line-up to face Port Adelaide in SANFL

NORTHERN Territory ruckman Neil Vea Vea will make his league debut for Glenelg against Port Adelaide at the Bay after Warwick McGinty was sent back to the reserves.

GLENELG coach Mark Stone has reacted to the sloppy performance against South Adelaide to open the season by sending Warwick McGinty back to the reserves to face Port Adelaide at the Bay on Friday night.

The Tigers were smashed at the clearances, especially after quarter-time, with Panthers ruckman Keegan Brooksby having total control against McGinty and Jesse White.

McGinty has been a workhorse for the Tigers, but must now work his way back through the reserves.

Neil Vea Vea, signed from NT Thunder, will has been named in ruck for his league debut for the Tigers.

A premiership player at the Thunder and Wanderers in Darwin, Vea Vea played in the reserves win over the Panthers on Good Friday.

Talented youngster Alex Martini is a chance to return to the Tigers’ league side after proving his fitness in the reserves.

Port has lost Jimmy Toumpas due to a shoulder problem, while Jack Trengove will make his debut for the club after being signed from Melbourne.
