It was a hip and shoulder charge that might have been more useful out on the ground.
But despite being up-ended in a salty display of unsportsmanlike behaviour, this Glenelg Tigers fan leapt to his feet to continue celebrating his team’s first flag in 33 years.
In a video posted online, the celebrating fan, who may have taken the victory dance just a little too far, was shoulder-charged by a passing patron.
The video shows the fan dancing a victory jig in the walkway near the hill at Adelaide Oval before being shouldered to the ground.
But despite the force of the shove, the fan leaps back to his feet, the smile never leaving his face, as he continues to celebrate.
The sporting allegiance of the patron is unknown – perhaps, like the town in Footloose, he is just not a fan of this modern dancing.
Police confirmed that there were no reports of any assaults during the grand final match.
