Reigning premier North Adelaide and South Adelaide have combined to provide 10 players for the state squad to prepare for the battle against the WAFL in Perth on May 12.
Selectors have included former WAFL star Aidan Tropiano, a premiership player with the Roosters last season, and former Box Hill ruckman Michael Knoll from the Panthers.
The SANFL was beaten by 26 points in last year’s contest against the Western Australians when pace was an issue. Speedsters Dom Barry, Anthony Wilson and Danyle Pearce have been named in the 30-man squad.
Former Sydney midfielder Jordan Foote has earned a spot as reward for his outstanding form in his debut season with Woodville-West Torrens. His Eagles teammate Jack Hayes is expected to be the go-to man in attack in the absence of Glenelg’s injured Josh Scott.
