Port Adelaide vice-captain Hamish Hartlett is being investigated by the SANFL for his scathing comments on social media on Tuesday.
Hartlett, who has undergone knee surgery in the off-season, faces a sanction after taking a massive swipe at the league, questioning whether it could make it any more obvious it does not want Port to win a premiership.
“Free kick counts are a disgrace (for both AFL reserves teams) every week, now suspensions for minor indiscretions like these,” Hartlett said. “Pathetic.”
Hartlett was reacting after Billy Frampton and Aidyn Johnson were charged for striking in the second semi-final win over Glenelg at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

AFL-listed players at Adelaide and Port Adelaide come under the SANFL regulations because those clubs have teams in the state league.
Hartlett played three games in the state league this season.
Port Adelaide revealed on Thursday Hartlett had an arthroscopy on his knee at the end of the season and that the vice-captain is expected to return to training for the Christmas break.
Frampton was offered a one-game suspension with an early guilty plea to striking Tigers captain Chris Curran. However, he challenged the charge at the SANFL tribunal and had his penalty downgraded to a $200 fine and reprimand. He had also been fined $200 and given a reprimand for striking Will Gould.
Johnson was also offered a one-game ban for striking Curran. His challenge failed and he must now serve a two-game ban.
The SANFL tribunal suspended Woodville-West Torrens ruckman Seb Guilhaus for three games for his comments on social media following the 19th man preliminary final controversy last year.
He was charged with bringing the game into disrepute after criticising the league’s integrity and the umpiring.
