Port Adelaide and Adelaide won’t be able to use all their qualified AFL-listed players if they are all available for the SANFL qualifying final Showdown.

PORT Adelaide’s Trent McKenzie, Willem Drew and Todd Marshall and Adelaide’s Chayce Jones, Darcy Fogarty and Sam Jacobs are eligible for the SANFL qualifying final Showdown at Adelaide Oval on Saturday despite fronting in the final round of the AFL.
Those players have met the qualifying standards and can drop back to the first weekend of the state league major round because their AFL sides failed to qualify for the finals.
Port has qualified 20 AFL-listed players, while the Crows have 18 as options. The two sides are capped at 17 AFL players for the finals and that includes Crows marquee player Matt Wright.

To be eligible, players must have appeared in more SANFL games than AFL and three state league games after June 30.
Andy Otten was the travelling emergency for the Crows in the AFL on Sunday and that is counted as an SANFL game.
Cam Sutcliffe will captain Port after playing the final two SANFL rounds to qualify.
