Injuries to its midfield has prompted Norwood coach Jarrod Cotton to consider promoting a youngster for his league debut. Plus some big ins for the Crows, and a familiar face returns to the Eagles.

NORWOOD coach Jarrod Cotton is considering promoting youngster Josh Richards for the clash against West Adelaide at The Parade on Friday night with the Redlegs needing reinforcements to cover injuries.

Already without Matthew Nunn and Will Abbott, the Redlegs have lost Matt Panos for up to four weeks after scans revealed a small fracture in his heel.

Panos has felt soreness in the heel since the Anzac Day win over North Adelaide when he earned the Bob Quinn Medal for his best-on-ground performance.

Richards is the brother of Redlegs’ midfielder Zac and is described by the Redlegs as a tackling machine who can play on the ball or be used in attack.

The Redlegs regained pacy Anthony Wilson and included Mac Bower in a 23-man squad.

The Bloods needed to find replacements for onball star Will Snelling and wingman John Noble after they were picked up by AFL clubs in the mid-season draft.

Brett Turner, Kyle Kirk, Tom Pillion, Murray Waite and Aaron Anderson have been listed as the inclusions in a 23-man squad.

North Adelaide faces a task against the high-flying Crows’ reserves with AFL-listed Chayce Jones, Elliott Himmelberg, Ned McHenry, David Mackay and, for his first ever SANFL game, veteran ruckman Sam Jacobs named in the Adelaide squad.

South Adelaide has lost ruckman Michael Knoll to the mid-season draft for its clash against Woodville-West Torrens at Woodville, with the Eagles recalling Seb Guilhaus to an extended squad.

The ruckman was charged with bringing the game into disrepute and banned for three games for his comments on social media following the 19th man SANFL preliminary final fiasco against North Adelaide.
