Eagles without Matthew Goldsworthy and Scott Lewis for battle against Port Adelaide

Woodville-West Torrens has been hit hard by injuries this season and the Eagles have lost another two players for the battle against Port Adelaide while a former Sturt star makes his first appearance for Adelaide.

Woodville-West Torrens has lost two experienced personnel for the clash against Port Adelaide at Woodville Oval on Saturday after injury forced Scott Lewis and Matthew Goldsworthy out of the side.

Lewis has been sidelined due to a hamstring issue, while rebounding defender Goldsworthy has a thigh problem.

However, the Eagles have regained classy forward Nick Hayes and ruckman Jarrad Redden, as well as included young forward Jake Weidemann and Joe Heinjus in a 23-man squad.

Port captain Cameron Sutcliffe returns from a hamstring injury to give the midfield a boost and ruckman Billy Frampton is back in the side after serving a two-match suspension.

Sturt’s defence has been bolstered for the battle against South Adelaide at Unley Oval on Sunday by the return from illness of last year’s best and fairest winner Tom Harms.

Teenager Mihail Lochowiak is also a chance to make his league debut for the Double Blues, promoted to a 23-man squad following his five-goal haul in the reserves last week.
