PAYNEHAM Norwood Union has largely underachieved in the Norwood Hotel division one competition in 2017 but this was not the case on Saturday as they dismantled ladder leader Rostrevor by 39 points at Payneham Oval.

Most impressive was the manner in which they did it – they lead 11 goals to two at three quarter time.

Speedy Strato Agorastos kicked five in a best afield display while Pierce Seymour was the most influential midfielder.

This week the Falcons face a red-hot Prince Alfred Old Collegians, who took care of Goodwood Saints to the tune of 28 points last week.’

Adam Perryman continued his rich run of form.

An unlikely win here to PNU could see it in the top five for the first time since round one.

It’s a game that will unearth a couple of answers and I think the Reds will win a close one.

Rostrevor will need to bounce back in its top-of-the-table clash with the Tea Tree Gully this week.

Inaccuracy robbed it of any momentum and it will be looking to tidy up its goal kicking during the week.

Michael Coad kicked five majors but he was a lone hand in front of the big sticks.

The Gullies will also be stinging from their 10-point loss to Uni.

Dylan Schoenmakers was their best, giving great drive on a tough day.

The home ground advantage may just be enough for the ROC to hold onto top spot.

Port District had an excellent come from behind win over Salisbury North.

Myles McNamara led the way in his first game for District while Jay Williams continues to be the main threat in front of goals with another five taking his season tally to 25.

The Magpies host Goodwood whose season has stalled despite the best efforts of Jack Carter, who toiled hard all day last weekend.

The Port form line suggests they should get the chocolates.

Modbury had an agonising one-point loss at the hands of St Peter’s Old Collegians.

Matthew Gibson did all he could to put his team on the right track with six goals but it wasn’t to be.

The Hawks face fellow Hawks, Salisbury North after their five goal loss at the hands of Port. Joshua Russo had his best game of the year on a tough day for the club.

A must-win game as both teams fight to avoid the relegation zone.

Adelaide Uni had a day to remember, leading all day to knock off the Gullies.

Lachlan Cameron was sublime in defence.

The Blacks host SPOC after their one-point win. Sam Roberts was the catalyst.
