THE Nine News Division five Adelaide Footy League competition produced its first draw at the weekend as Rosewater came from behind twice to share the spoils with an undermanned Kenilworth.

The Kookaburras squandered numerous opportunities to put the game to bed, however, a dogged Rosewater outfit showed resilience and determination to fight back.

Trailing by 17 points with 10 minutes remaining in the final term, Rosewater kicked three quick goals to lead by one point, but there was another twist in the tail as Kenilworth’s James Siemmering kicked a behind to level proceedings just before the final siren.

An inaccurate Blackfriars Old Scholars were outclassed by a clinical Glenunga outfit at the weekend, succumbing to the ladder leaders by 67 points.

After a scrappy opening term, Glenunga flexed its muscles, pouring on the pressure to the Blackfriars players, causing countless turnovers resulting in the Rams scoring heavily against.

Up forward, young gun Harry Prosser kicked four, whilst Jayce Del Bello continues to impress.

After a slow start to its 2017 campaign, Pooraka have moved into the top five for the first time since round four following its emphatic 76-point victory against Hope Valley.

The Bulls responded to losing key recruit Shaun Baker to home club Willaston in style, dominating from the first bounce to record back-to-back wins.

CBC Old Collegians brought Woodville South back down to earth, comprehensively defeating the Cats by 87 points in the Parklands.

The Dolphins have flown under the radar in the past month and are a side to watch in the future. Their even spread of goal kickers highlight their ability to find multiple avenues to goal, a facet of the game Woodville South were unable to quell.

A stylish seven goal to one quarter was the catalyst for Lockleys to emphatically defeat a hapless Greenacres by 117 points at Lockleys Oval.

The Demons extended their advantage at every change and were a class above their struggling opponents.

Greenacres’ leaky defence was once again their down fall, conceding over 100 points for the sixth time this season. Demons Tommy Lee Russo and Alex Patton shared 11 goals between them and were well aided by Chad Spurr, four goals and Daniel Voyzey.
