Adelaide Footy League: Nine News Division 6 Round 2 review

PERHAPS the only game division five game where there is not an obvious favourite in round three is the battle between Brahma Lodge and Fitzroy at Brahma Lodge.

PERHAPS the only game division six game where there is not an obvious favourite in round three is the battle between Brahma Lodge and Fitzroy at Brahma Lodge.

Darrell McIntyre leads the comp with 10 majors and will need to be shut down if the Lions are to open their account in 2017.

The Tigers have plenty more talent around the ground with Dean Steel, Darren Huitema and Nathan Wright the ones to watch.

Fitzroy desperately need to kick start its season in to gear and will be looking to Damian Harvey, Chad Bourke and Luke Scicluna to do so.

Form would suggest that Elizabeth will be too strong for Salisbury West at home but the Tigers need big games from Ryan and Jackson Kelly, Kieren Wanganeen and Alec Maidment. The Eagles have multiple avenues to goal with none more dangerous than Justin Platten and Jacob Shephard. Eagles will stay top of the table.

West Croydon has surprised many by being 2-0 but not themselves or new coach Luke Nicholls. Their players are playing great football in particular Jack Turner, Luke Francis and Bradley Wilson.

Trent Pursche and Turner have both been having an impact in front of the big sticks.

This week they face Mawson Lakes coming off one of their most disappointing performances of recent memory.

The Lakes will be looking to erase that memory and need more players to step up.

Expect big games from Ivan Novosel, Brayden Bennet and the Ung boys.

The Hawks will get the chocolates in this contest.

Pulteney takes on Houghton at Morgan Oval. One stat that really stands out is that Pulteney used 13 of a maximum 15 points allocation last week while the Raiders used nil.

Some of these stars include Jayden Fischer, Joshua Giddings, Jordan Noble and Jack Hoppo-Luckett.

Brenton Klaebe will be looking for his first win as coach and will turn to the baldheaded ruggedness of David Keetch and Nathan Hall to get his charges going.

The only result that looks likely is the Pulteney old boys to remain undefeated.

Winless Trinity hosts undefeated Ingle Farm.

With memories of their one point elimination final exit at the hands of the Lions last year, the Dogs were seeing red and will be out for revenge.

I expect big games from Dan Bryant and former Broadview player Nick Pope.

Trinity will need Dylan Winning and veteran Alex Siciliano to have huge games to be a chance but the Dogs should win and win well.
