KEY matches are again on the menu as the Adelaide Footy League’s Bank SA Division 3 resumes after a week-long break.

KEY matches are again on the menu as the Adelaide Footy League’s Bank SA Division 3 resumes after a week-long break.

High-flying Brighton hosts Walkerville in a top-versus-seventh clash.

The Bombers have done everything right, with just the one loss to Plympton by a goal.

Brighton has shown it is particularly tough to beat at home with big scores often kicked there. Walkerville has shown good moments to sit seventh with four wins.

The Cats have improved in recent weeks. In their most recent match they proved too strong for Portland, with Jason Dean kicking half of the team’s goals with seven.

Walkies will have their moments but the Bombers can win by 62-80 points.

Plympton is home to Seaton Ramblers in a fifth-v-second contest.

The Bulldogs have played some top footy this season with depth and experienced players leading the way. Their biggest win was their defeat of Brighton at home, while the Rams have been solid with seven wins from their nine matches.

In their last match they lost a dour struggle against Flinders Park by nine points with just 7.16 on the board. This is a tough game to assess but the Rams just might have the edge in attack to win by 12-26 points.

It is getting to the desperate stage for Portland as it takes on Golden Grove at Port Reserve. The Thunder has found it tough going and with two wins and sitting in eighth place is hovering around the relegation zone.

Golden Grove has been excellent in the past five weeks with a couple of top games.

Judd Morris has been very consistent for the Kookaburras with a number of other players standing tall. Portland should improve at home but the Kookaburras look to have rediscovered their mojo. There looks to be a margin for Grove by 20-34 points.

Westminster Old Scholars will be waiting for Mitcham in their sixth-against-ninth game at Tilbrook Rasheed Oval (Glandore).

The Dragons have had an up-and-down season so far with some polished efforts and a couple where they have struggled to score. Scott Blesing has been one of their best players.

Sitting with five wins from nine matches is handy but the Dragons will need to bolster their percentage quickly to keep up with the top sides.

Mitcham, with just one win, is finding the competition tough. The Hawks have pushed sides for a while but don’t have the depth to maintain it. This looks set up for the Dragons to win by 44-64 points.

SMOSH West Lakes and Flinders Park clash in a western derby but there is plenty separating them on the ladder with the Lions bottom and the Reds third.

SMOSH has had some good moments but doesn’t have the depth to match sides for long, while Flinders Park has an ace in the pack in Andrew Ainger to finish its good work in attack.

It looks another long day for the Lions with the Reds to get home by 70-86 points.
