The Saints were beaten in the opening round by Athelstone by 62 points but last Sunday downed Golden Grove 10.15 (75) to 6.6 (42).
Angus Rana led the way for the Saints with two goals, while Sam Laube (two goals) and Liam Bunn also were solid. Best for the Kookaburras were Luke Mittiga, Cavan Vos and Thomas Pengilly (two goals).
Athelstone was forced to battle hard before holding out Broadview in a tough struggle at Max Amber Sportsfield.
The top-placed Raggies won 8.10 (58) to 7.11 (53) after leading 4.9 to 0.5 at half time and 6.9 to 4.10 at three quarter time.
Anthony Lanzoni , Ben Rogers and Chad Wood enjoyed plenty of top moments for Athelstone, while Henry Baker (three goals), Max Bentley and Hamish Ralph played fine games for the Tigers.
Payneham Norwood Union (PNU) made it two wins from two matches when it held out Henley at Henley.
The Falcons won 6.7 (43) to 4.6 (30) after leading 3.3 to 0.1 at quarter time, 4.4 to 0.5 at half time and 6.4 to 2.6 at the last change.
James Bower, Jackson Richman and Jackson Woods were among the best for PNU. Henley’s best players were Kyle Dalidowicz, who backed up a good game for Henley in the opening round, Joshua Ettridge and Adrian Corso who also was solid in his team’s opening-round loss to Port District.
Flinders Park was too strong for Tea Tree Gully in their match at Flinders Park.
The Reds won 11.9 (75) to 4.6 (30) to record their first win of the season. Mitchell Smart, Jake Kennedy and Jordan Sarti led a strong list of good players for the Reds, while Jason Stott kicked three goals.
The Gullies saw good games from Carlos Buccini, Alex Smith and Joshua Gauci.
Port District had the bye.
All teams break for Easter with round three matches resuming on Sunday, April 23.
