The Rams, fifth, recorded a crucial three-point win over Kilburn last weekend while Edwardstown stayed in the race for fifth with a comfortable 65-point win over lowly Hectorville.
The Towns can leapfrog Gepps Cross into the five with a win at Duncan Fraser Reserve.
The Rams still have to play Hectorville in the final round while Edwardstown’s minor round campaign ends against Colonel Light Gardens.
Elsewhere, Kilburn will be aiming to tie up elimination final hosting tights over the final fortnight of the minor round.
The Chics sit a win clear in fourth following their narrow loss to Gepps and face Colonel Light Gardens (away) and Smithfield (home) in the final two rounds.
In other games, North Haven can improve to 16-1 when it faces ninth-placed Smithfield.
The Magpies won the early-season battle between the sides by 69 points.
Salisbury, seventh and win back from fifth, can stay in the finals race with a win over last-placed Hectorville.
The Magpies must defeat the Hounds and win their final round clash against Morphettville Park to have a chance.
