MORPHETTVILLE Park faces a tricky road trip to Kilburn when it looks to bounce back to the ALDI division four winners’ list this weekend.

The Roos fell one point shy of undefeated North Haven in a thrilling contest at Kellett Reserve last weekend but will have to shrug off the disappointment of that loss with the competition for a top-three berth heating up.

Morphies almost came from behind to snatch a memorable victory against the Magpies in a top-of-the-table matchup.

The Roos piled on a wasteful 2.9 in the final term as they squandered a chance to be the first team to take down North Haven in 2017.

Edward Doak booted four goals and Cleve Westley was best for Morphettville Park.

The Roos must put the loss behind them with Kilburn sitting a win – and a chunk of percentage – back in fourth.

A Chics’ victory this Saturday would make the battle for a top-three spot and important double chance even closer.

Kilburn missed an opportunity to climb into the top three last weekend, falling to Eastern Park by 29 points on the road.

The Chics led by a goal at the main break before being overran in a 12 goal to five second half.

Kilburn’s best was Dustin Knaggs.

The Demons, third with a 7-3 record, visit an Edwardstown side hoping to stay in the five.

Last weekend the Towns shared the points with Smithfield after playing out the division’s first draw of the year.

The point was enough to lift Edwardstown into fifth for the first time this season after Gepps Cross lost to Salisbury.

Gepps will be hoping to claim fifth back straightaway when they host battling Colonel Light Gardens.

The Lions snapped a six-game losing streak in style last round, taking down Hectorville by 77 points to stay clear of the relegation zone.

Colonel Light Gardens had 12 goalkickers as they recorded a much-needed victory.

The Lions sit a point outside the top five in a congested bottom half of the ladder.

Elsewhere, bottom two sides Hectorville and Smithfield will battle at Daly Oval.

A win for either side would give them a glimmer of hope they can survive the drop.

First-placed North Haven can improve to 11-0 when it hosts seventh-ranked Salisbury at Largs North Reserve.
