THIRD place on the ladder at the end of the round is almost certainly the prize for the winner of

the Golden Grove/Seaton Ramblers game in their division three game at Harpers Field

on Saturday.

Golden Grove’s solid form continued last week when it proved too strong for Westminster Old

Scholars, winning by 30 points.

Judd Morris again shone for the winner, while Dashiell Ravlich and Joshua Ingram backed up well.

Seaton Ramblers also got the job done with a 26-point win against Walkerville at home after leading by that margin at quarter time.

Jarrad Brusnahan, Giuseppe Muscara and Paul Mitchell were among the best for the Rams.

A tough game to call but the Grove can get in the groove at home by 12-26 points.

Brighton has crushed most sides at home this season and a similar fate looks on the cards for ninth team Mitcham his week.

The Bombers overcame a slow start to account for SMOSH West Lakes by 104 points away last week with John McPherson (three goals), Shane Harvey (three goals), Dylan Lang and Jack Juniper (seven goals) among the best.

It won’t be pretty for the visitors. Brighton 100 plus points.

Plympton and Westminster Old Scholars are close by geographically and are next to each other

on the premiership ladder in a fifth versus sixth clash.

The Bulldogs were pipped by Flinders Park by two points last week with just 4.10 on the board. Johnny Pegoraro, Lonnie Hampton and Stuart Taverner were key players for the Bulldogs. Westminster could not find enough scoring avenues before losing to Golden Grove away by 30 points.

Jared Shattock, Shane Birss and Todd Marsh battled hard.

The Bulldogs can get home here by 16-34 points.

Portland is home to Flinders Park in an eighth versus second contest.

The Thunder has had an-up-and- down season, last week beating ninth team Mitcham by 24 points with Nathan Wait, Robert Wilson and Dale Laslett leading the way.

Flinders Park just had enough up its sleeve to win a dour game against Plympton last week at home by two points. Mitchell Harvey, Michael Demant and James Schwarz all had good moments.

Flinders Park looks to have the depth here to take the game by 20-38 points.

Walkerville, seventh, is home to bottom side SMOSH West Lakes in a game vital for both sides

aiming to avoid relegation.

The Cats pushed Seaton Ramblers after quarter time to lose by 26 points last Saturday with Luke Westbury, Adam Law and Daniel Callary (two goals) playing well.

SMOSH West Lakes enjoyed a two-goal lead against Brighton at quarter time last week but

could not match the top side from there to go down by 104 points at home.

Zac Beecken, Alex Hughes and Lyndon Parham stood tall for the Lions as they were constantly under pressure.

The Cats look to have the depth here by 16-28 points.
