SEATON Ramblers and Golden Grove take winning form and confidence into this Saturday’s division three qualifying final at Pedlar Reserve.

The Rams finished in second place to earn hosting rights but the Kookaburras ended the minor

round with a stronger percentage.

Last week the Rams beat Flinders Park by 35 points with Darren Tremaine, Peter Miller and Paul Marshall among the stars.

Brett Harland was a key in attack with four goals.

Golden Grove did enough to beat Plympton by seven points in their final minor round game at Harpers Field.

Judd Morris again led the way for the Kookaburras, while Shane Walker and Jake Pitman were strong backups.

Sam Gunning led the scorers with three goals.

When the sides met in the minor round the home ground proved the key with the Rams winning in round five by 24 points and the Kookaburras saluting at Harpers Field by 33 points in round 14.

The safe bet is to go with the home side but Golden Grove appears to be on the verge of stepping up again and can win by 10-26 points.

Flinders Park hosts Plympton in an elimination final for the fourth and fifth teams.

The Reds were no match for Seaton Ramblers last week with Mitchell Harvey, Andrew Ainger (five goals) and Jack Rogers (three goals) among the best.

Plympton recorded a seven-point loss to Golden Grove as Kieren Nelson, Stuart Taverner and Tim Dunkley led the better players.

Mark Schutz (five goals) and Jack Donkersley (three goals) were solid in attack.

During the minor round Flinders Park won both games between the teams – in round four at

Plympton by 46 points and in round 13 in a low scoring game by two points at home.

The Reds look to have the answers with key forward Andrew Ainger a focal point and can advance by 8- 22 points.

Brighton will meet the winner of the Seaton Ramblers/Golden Grove game in the second semi-

final on Saturday, August 26.
