Kieran McGuinness may play on for Norwood next year

Norwood veteran Brett Zorzi has definitely retired, captain Kieran McGuinness is 50-50 to stay at The Parade and key forward Ben Warren will delay a decision on his career until speaking with the club.

The future plans of the Redlegs were far from the minds of the players as they continued their grand final party with a family day at The Parade yesterday followed by a few more drinks at a nearby hotel.

But there is certain to be plenty of player movement. The club will lose a raft of players, including James Aish, Trent Dumont and Orazio Fantasia to the draft. There has also been interest from AFL clubs in Matthew Fuller as a mature aged player.

Lewis Stevenson and Mitchell Grigg will be with Port Adelaide and Adelaide respectively after the decision to allow the two clubs to field a reserves side in the state league competition.

Magarey Medallist Matt Thomas, delisted by the Power at the end of this season, could also be lost to the AFL if he is picked up by another club.

Former South Adelaide skipper Warren has played in three successive premiership sides, having been with Langhorne Creek when it claimed the 2011 Great Southern League crown before joining the Redlegs last year.

Whether he stretches his career into 2014 could hinge on where Nathan Bassett is coaching. If Bassett takes a job in the AFL it is almost certain Warren will retire and take an off field role with the Redlegs.

McGuinness missed last year's triumph after being sidelined with a knee injury and he said the feeling was so different after leading the club to victory.

''Last year I was thinking I'm a part of it and you try and smile and enjoy,'' he said. ''If you don't play it is a different story. It is a very different feeling at the moment to last year and I'm just thrilled and really lucky to be a part of it.''

More than 6000 fans were at The Parade on Sunday night when the triumphant Redlegs were presented to the crowd.

The players will attend the chimney ceremony at the Brewery today.

There were also 2000 North Adelaide fans at Prospect Oval on Monday night and there was obviously a sombre mood after the grand final loss.
