Half-forward flanker Brayden Pianta has been integral to the Vikings' undefeated start to the season which has it sitting at the top of the Southern Football League ladder.
The Happy Valley 15-year-old has kicked 48 goals in his 10 games, including a bag of eight in the Vikings' 147-point win over Port Noarlunga at the weekend.
"We're going rather good, our fitness is really good and we've just got a good lot of boys out there," Pianta says.
"Hopefully we can stay up there and win the grand final."
Pacy Pianta says reading the play well and kicking truly have been the keys to his impressive start to the year, but he is finding he is getting more attention from the opposition.
"They try to tag me and other teams try to rough me up a bit but I don't worry about that ... I just concentrate on the footy," he says
Vikings' coach Justin Calderbank says on-baller Chris Curyer, who kicked six goals in Saturday's 24.15 (159) to 2.0 (12) victory, and half-back Zach Evreniadis are also among the side's stars.
He says there is an appetite within the group to atone for the team's 2012 preliminary final loss.
"The second-year players that went through that heartache last year are very hungry - they're super competitive," Calderbank says.
"They're very disciplined and I'm pretty blessed to have some great kids come through the club, and their families are very supportive."
