Gino Capogreco's SAAFL presidency is on the line

SA AMATEUR Football League president Gino Capogreco is under fire with an extraordinary meeting of the league to decide his future.

SA AMATEUR Football League president Gino Capogreco is under fire with an extraordinary meeting of the league to decide his future.

The SAAFL has confirmed Capogreco's position will be considered at the meeting on Monday, October 21.

The league's executive committee has moved for the extraordinary meeting with only one issue on the agenda. It reads the SAAFL is: "To determine whether to declare vacant the office of president of the league and the position of Gino Capogreco as a member of the executive committee pursuant to clause 14.1 of the constitution on the grounds that Gino Capogreco:

"Is guilty of conduct which in the opinion of the executive committee is unbecoming an officer of the league or a member of the executive committee pursuant to clause 14.1.7 of the constitution

"And/or has conducted himself in a manner prejudicial to the league."

The SA amateur league gained greater attention this year when the Adelaide Football Club considered entering its Crows reserves in the A1 series if they were not accepted in the SANFL league competition.
