AFL and club members will again be able to get a free ticket to watch their team play in Gather Round when it returns to South Australia in April.

The league on Wednesday released ticketing details for the 2024 football festival ahead of them going on sale next week, including that members could redeem a general admission ticket to go see the club they supported.

All AFL and club members can buy tickets during a 24-hour priority window on Monday via Ticketek, before they go on sale to the public a day later.

Tickets for the games at Norwood and Mount Barker, along with general admission at Adelaide Oval will be $35, up $5 from this year.

The Saturday double-header at Adelaide Oval, featuring Fremantle-Carlton and Western Bulldogs-Geelong matches, will be $35 total.

Children’s tickets will be $10 across all venues but kids can go free on a family pass.

Multi-day passes will be available for members of clubs playing at Adelaide Oval.

A tiered pricing model will be introduced for the city ground, providing fans with more options to buy better seats, capped at $65.

A new area in the Riverbank Stand is also being created offering a “premium viewing experience” at Adelaide Oval.

To be known as “the Collective” and located on level three, it will have bespoke food and drink options, as well as entertainment, in the William Magarey Room for $95 per day, including the double-header.

AFL executive general manager customer and commercial Kylie Rogers said Gather Round – to be held from April 4 to 7 – would provide great value for all fans.

“After starting with a bang last season for the inaugural round, tickets to our festival of footy in South Australia are fast becoming the hottest ticket in town,” Rogers said.

“We are thrilled to continue our free ticket offer for members, as well as free entry for kids with family tickets.

“The Collective tickets are for friends to come together and watch the game and make a day of it, in a setting that is made for socialising and having fun.”

Members will only be able to get tickets to match of the club they support in the priority window on Monday and can redeem one per barcode.

Virgin Australia will again be putting on extra flights, which are already available.

SA Premier Peter Malinauskas urged football fans to get tickets quickly because demand would be strong.

“Those who went to Gather Round this year loved it and those who didn’t wished they were there,” Malinauskas said.

“I hope we can fill the stands for every match because that means we’re filling hotels and restaurants across Adelaide and beyond, pumping millions into our economy.”

Gather Round opens with Adelaide hosting Melbourne on April 4.
