SA Amateur League club Goodwood Saints has pulled off a stunning recruiting coup, signing former Richmond midfielder Shane Tuck.
Tuck, 31, played 173 games and kicked 74 goals in 10 seasons for the Tigers before being delisted after the club's elimination final loss to Carlton at the MCG in September.
Victorian-born Tuck played in West Adelaide's 2003 SANFL grand final defeat to Central District and is returning to SA with his Adelaide-born wife, Katherine.
He has joined the Saints' largely to play alongside boyhood mate and former Bloods teammate Luke Donaldson.
Goodwood football director John Pysing described Tuck's signature as "extremely significant''.
"Just a couple of months ago he was playing in front of 95,000 people at the MCG and now he's going to be representing the Saints,'' Pysing said.
"He's an outstanding player and at age 31 and with the strong fitness level he has we hope we can get plenty of good football out of him.''
