Dalwood family's grand final dilemma
IT'S probably a good thing Will Dalwood's father Grant is overseas and will miss his son's first SANFL grand final on Sunday.
IT'S probably a good thing Will Dalwood's father Grant is overseas and will miss his son's first SANFL grand final on Sunday.
Will, 25, is gunning for a premiership with North Adelaide but to do so would involve knocking over Norwood where his dad Grant is a board member and brother James is the marketing manager.

Football allegiances might have divided the Dalwood family this week but either way at least one of them will be happy on Sunday night.
"We can't win but we can't lose," said James, who is four years older than Will but had his footy career cut short by a broken leg.
"If Norwood wins I'll be ecstatic for the boys but at the same time I'll be dirty that Will just lost.
"Deep down I think dad would like to see Will win but if you asked him he'd probably say Norwood."

Grant, who played in two reserves premierships with Norwood and in the 1980 losing league grand final against Port Adelaide, is on a planned holiday with wife Deb in South America.
James plans to keep him updated with the score of Sunday's game at AAMI Stadium via text message.
Will started his football career at Norwood but switched to North Adelaide in June, 2012, after playing just eight league games and being dropped from the reserves.
"At the start it was a big decision but I thought if my SANFL career was going to continue I had to move to North," he said.
"He (brother James) doesn't get stuck into me too much, he leaves it alone."

Will has become an established defender at league level for the Roosters and after 38 league games finds himself with a shot at a premiership.
"It was a bit of a daunting task for us at the start of the finals (finishing fifth)," he said.
"But we came good, we needed to find our game plan again and it just clicked."
