CENTRAL District has finalised its off-season recruiting campaign with the signing of former Gold Coast Sun Jacob Gillbee.
Gillbee, 21, joined the Bulldogs last month after being delisted in September.
He was taken with pick No. 49 in the 2010 AFL National Draft and played six games for the Suns, mainly as a small forward.
But Gillbee has been earmarked to spend time in the midfield this coming season.
Finding more players to rotate through the engine room has been a major focus of the Bulldogs' recruiting, after the departure of star on-ballers James Boyd and Brayden O'Hara.
Earlier in the summer, Central signed Sturt's Tim McIntyre and former Power rookie Justin Hoskin - both of whom the club hoped could rotate through the middle despite having spent much of their careers in attack and defence respectively.
Gillbee joins McIntyre, Hoskin, former North Melbourne ruckman Ben Mabon and ex-Box Hill forward Bryce Retzlaff in joining the club since the end of the season.
Among the club's other outs are 2012 Ken Farmer Medallist Justin Hardy (West Adelaide) and ruckman Seb Guilhaus (Darwin), seven-time premiership defender Yves Sibenaler (retired), swingman Jacob Templeton (Eagles) and goalsneak Ian Callinan (Crows reserves).
