The couple initially got engaged in 2022, after being together for 12 years.
The newly minted Mrs Heppell wore an off-the-shoulder white dress from Marquise Bridal.
The bodice of the satin dress had a corset-style design that folded over at the top.
To match the sleeves, which were see-through, the sides of the corset also featured sheer panelling on either side. The skirt of the dress had a daring thigh-high split in it.
It also had a train that followed behind her as she met Heppell at the end of the aisle.
She finished the look with pointed white heels, a tulle veil and a gorgeous bouquet of chunky white flowers.
“Absolutely stunning photos! The best day celebrating with you both. Congratulations again,” one social media user declared.
Another said: “Congratulations guys. You look absolutely stunning.”
“Sooo beautiful. The best day celebrating you both,” another said.
Another added: “Absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations.”
“About bloody time! Well done people, you make a magnificent couple,” another declared.
One social media user added: “Beyond gorgeous.”
“What a fantastic bunch of photos of Mr & Mrs Heppell sharing their most special day with such happy and fun loving people,” another said.
Meanwhile Heppell wore a double-breasted black jacket and white shirt for the occasion.
He opted for a bow tie and a piece of flora on his lapel.
Heppell, 32, retired last season following 253 games in the AFL, all with the Essendon footy club.
The eighth pick in the 2010 AFL Draft, the midfielder won the Rising Star award in 2011 and was named All Australian in 2014, captaining the Bombers for six seasons.
Mrs Heppell took to social media to thank her vendors and gave a very special thank you to those involved on the big day.
“The best of the best. WE ADORE YOU. The funnest, most loving, best best best bridesmaids and groomsmen we could ever ask for. You made this weekend (and everything else) THAT much better. Thank you. We love you,” she said.
Heppell said when he proposed he “couldn’t ask for a more perfect day”.
Meanwell, his now wife said: “It’s always been a yes, but now he’s officially stuck with me.”
