The Adelaide Crows have been boosted by the return of premiership-winning midfielder Sophie Li who has overcome concussion as the team looks to post its first win of the season against St Kilda at Richmond Oval on Sunday.
Adelaide announced its extended 23-player squad on Thursday night, still without co-captain Erin Phillips who has not been cleared to play by the club’s medical staff despite successfully rehabilitating her left knee.

Another key player who remains on the injury list is veteran Courtney Cramey whose groin strain requires another week on the sidelines.
It gives draftees Caitlin Gould and Montana McKinnon the chance to debut and they have both been named in the squad, which will be trimmed on Friday.
Member of the Crows leadership group, Angela Foley, said the team was positive despite their 13-point defeat to Brisbane on Saturday.
“We’ve trained hard,” she said. “Our standards lifted and they needed to. Tuesday was a good session.”
Foley said it was excellent to have the first game over and done with the group could refocus on what went wrong, take out learnings and concentrate on positives.
She said it was heartening the Crows won a number of key stats against the Lions, including the inside-50 count (+12) and contested ball (+11).
“It’s hard coming off a loss, and being round one there’s been a big build-up to it and you’ve been waiting all this time because off-season’s such a long time,” she said.
Foley said Li was a huge inclusion for the side.
“I love watching Soph play,” Foley said.
“She’s electric, a great runner who uses the ball well and is so composed when she’s got it. “It’ll be great to have her back on the wing.”
Foley said the Crows wouldn’t change anything structurally ahead of their clash against expansion club St Kilda. “I feel like that’s going to come and it will,” she said.
“We’re up and about, we’re all very competitive so losing round one doesn’t sit right.”
