Crows midfielders Anne Hatchard and Ebony Marinoff along with defender Sarah Allan named in AFLW’s All-Australian squad
Three Crows players have been named in the AFL’s 40-player AFLW All-Australian squad. But when the final team of 21 will be named is still up in the air amid the COVID-19 chaos.

Three Crows players have been named in the 40-player squad for the 2020 AFLW All-Australian team.
Midfielders Ebony Marinoff and Anne Hatchard made the squad alongside their fullback teammate Sarah Allan.
The trio have been with Adelaide since the club’s inaugural year in 2017 and are two-time premiership winners in the tricolours.
Each of their individual performances provided a highlight in an otherwise disappointing season for the 2019 premiers who managed only two wins from six games before COVID-19 brought the competition to an abrupt halt.
Hatchard averaged 25.3 disposals – the highest in the league – and in round one the 22-year-old broke Marinoff’s AFLW record for most disposals when she had 35 touches (18 kicks, 17 handballs) against Brisbane.
Marinoff averaged 23.2 disposals and 7.8 tackles per game, but took her marking efforts to new heights: her 5.2 average marks per game was her best of any of her four seasons (her previous highest marking count was 2.4 in 2017).
Sarah Allan – who was a newly appointed member of the club’s leadership team for 2020 – averaged 12.5 disposals pre game (more than any of her previous seasons) and upped her mark count to 3.5 (her 2019 marking average was 2.2).
The final All-Australian team of 21 players, which will include a captain and vice-captain, will be announced at the annual W Awards to be held at a later date to be confirmed.
Collingwood led the club representation in the squad with five players named while three first-year players were also included: Jade Pregelj (Gold Coast), Georgia Patrikios (St Kilda) and Caitlyn Greiser (St Kilda).
A spokesperson for the AFL said the league was finalising arrangements for the W Awards. “While the current situation relating to COVID-19 remains a challenge for the entire community, the AFL remains committed to celebrating the achievements of each club and individual following the 2020 NAB AFL Women’s Competition,” she said.
At the W Awards, the awards to be presented will be: AFL Women’s Best and Fairest, NAB AFL Women’s Rising Star, AFL Women’s Leading Goalkicker Award, AFLW Mark of the Year, Coates Hire AFLW Goal of the Year and AFL Women’s All-Australian Team.
