There’s a football shaped as a heart, a shoelace that winds its way around the jumper featuring the season’s milestones as well as a picture of a small horse shoe, which represents the special charm injured midfielder Jess Hosking gave to her teammates on the eve of the first game.
Vescio said the idea came from the whole team, who wanted a jumper that captured the stories of a ground breaking season.
“I listened to a lot of videos to get quotes and things,” graphic designer Vescio said.
“We broke it up into different sections, the top half of the jumper is around feelings and heart.
“The stomach was more about game day and the game day nerves.
“The back is about the people who backed us in our inaugural year ... it’s sort of like taking a bit of home away with us.”
Artist Eliza Svikulis brought the jumper to life.
