GEELONG has swooped on gun midfielder Nina Morrison with the No.1 pick in the 2018 AFLW draft.
The Cats took the talented ball-winner with the first overall selection, a compensation pick received from the AFL as an expansion club.

Carlton have made history by selecting the first ever father-daughter recruit, Abbie McKay, daughter of club great Andrew McKay.
But one of the best stories came later in the draft, when Adelaide swooped on Danielle Ponter - the cousin of Hawthorn champion Cyril Rioli and niece of Essendon great Michael Long.
Adelaide co-captain Chelsea Randall said she's very excited to welcome Ponter to the Crows, declaring she possesses "raw talent",.
"A really exciting player, just that raw talent," Randall said
"We're really excited to have Danielle part of our team."
The Bulldogs had no hesitation selecting Aisling McCarthy, a code-hopper from Ireland who has excelled playing gaelic footy.
