Crows coach Matthew Clarke said Foley could be out for up to six weeks, which would end her AFLW 2020 campaign.
“It’s a mid foot sprain rather than the ankle,” he said.
“They (mid-foot sprains) are a bit unknown, hopefully she’ll be back in the season’s time frame.
“So it’s a bit of touch and go.”

Forward Eloise Jones is also on the sidelines, missing the Round 5 clash against North Melbourne on Saturday with an injured right AC joint.
In positive news for the Crows Erin Phillips and Rhiannon Metcalfe have pulled up well after their first game back from long stints with injury.
“One of the most pleasing aspects of the game is that both of our girls coming back from long term injuries got through,” Clarke said.
“Having played a game of footy they were a bit sore, but they are ultimately in good health and ready to go again.
“Rhi ended up playing for more minutes that we had anticipated (due to Foley’s injury) but she was able to get through it and that gives us confidence that she’ll be able to do that again.”
The loss to Carlton gives the Crows a 2-2 record at the half way mark of the season.
Clarke said while he wanted the competition to be longer, the shortened season and conference model did make the 2020 AFLW season exciting.
“The last four games are against our conference a rivals so the team that wins enough will get the opportunity to play finals,” he said.
“There were some criticism of the conference model last year but the teams you are playing are the teams you have to fight it out with.
“We are pretty comfortable with that … so this game is back the next is big and the game after that.”
