Essendon’s defence will be bolstered by the return of fullback Brandon Zerk-Thatcher as the Bombers look to rebound from their first loss under Brad Scott.

Zerk-Thatcher has been named to face GWS Giants on Sunday, with Massimo D’Ambrosio squeezed out of the team which lost to St Kilda last weekend.

The Bombers have resisted calls to blood Patrick Voss after an impressive start to the VFL season, backing Harrison Jones to partner Sam Weideman in attack.

Midfield revelation Will Setterfield has been named despite battling a cork during the week which had him in doubt.

No. 1 draft pick Aaron Cadman will have to wait at least another week for his debut, unless he is named as the sub after being chosen among the emergencies.

Kysaiah Pickett will return from suspension for Melbourne, while Tom McDonald replaces the injured Ben Brown.

West Coast has lost an incredible seven players to injury after a chaotic derby loss to Fremantle.

Fourth-gamer Samson Ryan will partner Tom Lynch in attack after Richmond left veteran pair Jack Riewoldt and Trent Cotchin out of its team to face Western Bulldogs.

The Tiger stalwarts have been managed, leaving 22-year-old Ryan and Lynch to battle against a defence which includes Josh Bruce, Liam Jones and Alex Keath.

Riewoldt has averaged nine disposals in three games this year but has not gone goal-less, kicking two majors in last Friday’s loss to Collingwood.

Martin has been named at full-forward, while the dangerous Noah Cumberland is on the bench.

Cumberland was one of the most influential players on the ground after being subbed in for Ryan against the Magpies, tallying seven disposals and three inside-50s.

The Tigers have also included emerging midfielder Tyler Sonsie in the clearest sign yet they have one eye on life after two of the club’s all-time greats.

Reigning premier Geelong has reloaded with four premiership players as it looks to end its flag hangover on Easter Monday.

The Cats have named flag-winning ruckman Rhys Stanley, Mitch Duncan, Jake Kolodjashnij and Grand Final sub Brandan Parfitt to face Hawthorn.

Geelong is the only side without a win after three rounds and will be without Sam De Koning, who will miss due to concussion.

Second-gamer Jacob Rooyen is poised to lead Melbourne’s forward line against an injury-ravaged West Coast after Ben Brown was ruled out of Sunday’s clash.

The Demons have included Adam Tomlinson and Tom McDonald in an extended squad to head west and face the Eagles, who have made an incredible 10 changes after last weekend’s demolition derby.
