ADELAIDE expects key players Rory Sloane, Rory Laird, Tom Lynch and
Luke Brown to all play against West Coast at Adelaide Oval on
Saturday.
Assistant coach Josh Francou said the quartet trained strongly this
morning and should be available for selection after missing time
through injury.
But Francou put a line through midfielder Sam Gibson, who suffered
back-related hamstring tightness in the round 13 loss to Hawthorn.
Gibson did not train today.
Ace wingman Paul Seedsman left training early after copping a knock
but Francou said he expects him to be available to play against the
high-flying Eagles, who will be without injured key forwards Josh
Kennedy and Jack Darling.
“Pleasingly the four guys who missed the last game got through
training which is a positive result,” Francou said.
“Clearly it’s been challenging at selection and it’s nice that we’ve
got some senior players that we can bring back and add to the style
and brand we want to play.
“Unfortunately Sam didn’t get through training and won’t be playing this week.
“Fingers crossed he will be available next week.
“Seedsman just copped a bit of a corky, a knock on the quad, but I
assume he’s going to be fine.”
