Adelaide Giants have strengthened their pitching stocks for the ABL season with the signing of former national representative Jason Lott.
Noted for his damaging curveball as well as a testing fastball, Lott joins the Giants after a strong debut season in the league with Canberra Cavalry last season.
“I received a message from (Giants general manager) Nathan Davison after the ABL season expressing interest and complementing me on the solid outing I had against the Bite midway through the season,” Lott said.
“My first ABL season was a great experience, it was my first taste of pro ball and playing with guys from all around the world who have played at different levels, including the big leagues.

“I gained a lot of knowledge and developed an understanding of what it takes to be a professional athlete.”
Lott, 24, had three years in the US college system with Southern Alabama and pitched for Team Australia at the under 23 World Cup where he closed out wins over South Africa and Dominican Republic.
He pitched 21 and a third innings for the Cavalry for a 2-1 record and 5.91 ERA.
“I’ll be surrounded by young talented players like Aaron Whitefield and Mitch Edwards, who will continue to push myself through the season,” Lott said.
“I think this season keeps me in the sight for the National Team because I have the privilege to work with great coaches like Luke Prokopec.”
