On their first day of school the Stanbridge triplets walked side by side into the classroom, dwarfed by their oversized backpacks.
Thirteen years later the trio, 18, are old enough to drink, drive and sit their final exams together. Noah Stanbridge and sister Zoe will be among 4160 year 12s to sit the general mathematics exam on Monday, November 7 – the largest group enrolled in any SACE Stage 2 subject.
The pair will be joined by sister Sophia on November 13 when all three face the English literary studies exam. The next day Zoe and Sophia will complete the psychology exam with 2595 others.
Firstborn among the triplets – who entered the world one minute apart in August 2005 – Zoe said her sister had provided “extra motivation” throughout the year in psychology classes.
“Sophia keeps getting half a grade above me,” she laughed.
“Doing this at the same time as Noah and Sophia has been good because we’re all stressed at the same time and so we know what each other is going through.”
With three times the nerves in the Stanbridge household, mum Bianca said it would be “a big day” when the triplets, who attend Heathfield High School, receive their SACE results on December 18.
