A private school in Adelaide’s south has announced a major new development proposed for one of its three campuses, expanding its facilities to offer a new senior learning hub and personal development centre.
Cardijn College, which has three campuses, has proposed a significant expansion for its Marian campus at Noarlunga Downs, which offers classes from year 7-12.
On Friday, the school released images on its social media depicting what the expansion could look like, showing a new “state-of-the-art” facility for students.
“Cardijn College is excited to announce the launch of the proposed ‘Marian West’ Capital Development Project, a significant step forward in our commitment to providing exceptional education for our growing student community,” the post read.
“The proposed Stage 1A Capital Development Project will focus on expanding our current 7-12 campus into the vacant land to the west, between Cardijn College Marian and South Adelaide Football Club.
“This state-of-the-art campus will serve as a hub for senior learning and personal development, ensuring that every student has the space and resources they need to thrive at Cardijn.”
According to the school’s website, the senior learning centre will include learning classrooms, specialty learning areas – science laboratories, food technology, administrative spaces, teacher support areas, student services and associated amenities.
The development also includes a pedestrian bridge link that would connect both the newly built west campus to the east campus.
Cardijn College, which has an annual student fee for years 11-12 of $6,560, has three campuses which include, Galilee at Aldinga, offering Reception to Year 9, Marian at Noarlunga Downs, offering years 7 to 12 and Marcellin at Christies Downs, offering years 10-12.
The proposed development is expected to be completed by “early 2026”, according to the school’s website.
