Hopeful househunters will be out in droves over the weekend, hoping Lady Luck will smile on them as they compete for the more than 100 properties hitting the auction block across South Australia.
According to PropTrack data, 118 properties are set to go under the hammer across SA this week – 110 of them in metro Adelaide and eight in regional SA.
And thanks to our auction streaming partner Gavl, we’ll be live streaming 10 of them here on Saturday.
According to PropTrack, Fulham Gardens is the state’s top auction suburb for the week, with four homes going under the hammer by Sunday’s end.
Three homes in Largs Bay on Adelaide’s western coastline will hit the auction block, while Athelstone, Campbelltown and Clarence Park each has two properties their vendors hope will sell.

PropTrack economist Anne Flaherty said auction activity was picking up nationally, with 2560 homes scheduled to go under the hammer across the nation this week.
“Selling conditions have steadily improved since the start of the year, with auction clearance rates lifting,” Ms Flaherty said.
“This, combined with the fact that interest rates are likely close to the top of the hiking cycle, may be supporting increased vendor confidence and contributing to the recent rise in homes heading to auction.”
Of the 10 properties to be live streamed here, both 5 Henry St, Clarence Park and 32 Hill St, Campbelltown are the first cabs off the rank, hitting auction block at 10am.
The 5 Henry St home features four bedrooms and sits on an 891sqm block in a popular inner-southern suburb.
The 1895-built symmetrical villa has been extended and renovated throughout and should be a hit with family buyers.
It is being sold through Ouwens Casserly Real Estate and has a price guide of $1.55m.
The 32 Hill St, Campbelltown property will likely be a mecca for developers.
The two-bedroom home sits on a spacious 803sqm allotment, with its realestate.com.au listing saying it provides a range of different possibilities.
“Whether for investment, knockdown and build your dream home or to completely redevelop the site (STCC), the choice is yours,” it reads.
“The home is ideally situated in the heart of Campbelltown between Hill Street and Stock Ave, and within walking distance to Lochiel Park and the River Torrens trail.”
This one carries a price guide of $720,000, and is being sold through Ray White Henley Beach.
And then at 2.30pm, a charming three-bedroom home at 39 Wells St, Birkenhead hits the auction block.
Centrally located between historic Port Adelaide and vibrant Semaphore, this 1930-built double brick cottage has three bedrooms and one bathroom on a 332sqm allotment.
“With just a hop skip and a jump to Semaphore Rd, local reserves and schooling makes for an ideal young family or downsizer, but there is so much more than meets the eye,” its realstate.com.au listing states.
The property is being sold through Harcourts Smith and is being sold without a price guide.
