Australian Designer and kaftan queen Camilla Franks’s house is exactly what you’d expect. Loud, colourful and full of artistic treasures.
With floor-to-ceiling wallpaper made from her own designs, it’s no surprise the colourful Woollahra home has garnered a spot in the NSW list of Top Homes of 2023.
Affectionately known as ‘Villa Camilla,’ the luxe property is packed with a medley of colour and sparkly embellished pieces. Franks purchased the four-bedroom, 1800s Victorian terrace in Sydney’s Woollahra five years ago. Since then, the designer has reworked the space to create something of an eccentric fairytale.
The interior includes a quaint lounge filled with eclectic artwork reminiscent of her past travels, large windows and a stunning fireplace.
The open-plan, sun lit kitchen and dining area features airy paintwork and sleek cabinets, and a large hanging plant to add an extra life to the room.
Outside you’ll find rustic stone pavers, a pool surrounded by Greek island white tones and a built-in fire pit, making it feel like you’re in Mykonos or Ibiza. Perfect for entertaining guests.
Described as her ‘happy place,’ the Woollahra home is a testament to Franks’ life and travels and one of the more quirky designs to make the NSW list of Top Homes of 2023.
