Plans have been unveiled for a suite take on storage in the fast-growing northern Gold Coast.
The $38m Haven complex will take shape on a site on the corner of Hope Island’s Springfield Drive and Activa Way near the Hope Island Golf Club.
The mixed-use development has 17 storage units, 29 studio spaces and the potential for retail space.
Marketed by Coastal Commercial’s Brandon Johnson, it is being built by Resort Developments.
Resort Developments director Cameron Starkey said construction was expected to begin in February.
“The site, although overgrown and neglected in its current state, was attractive due to its size and position,” he said.
“There were quite a number hurdles that came with the site, but we were able to work through these with the relevant parties to find a great solution (Haven) that will not only look very aesthetically pleasing, but also be a great contribution to the Resort and the greater community.
“Being located on the main entrance to the Hope Island Resort, we wanted to develop a product that would compliment the Resort entry and become a destination for the local community.”
Mr Johnson said 10 properties within the complex sold during its first week on the market, with more than 200 inquiries.
“From suites for professionals to boutique shops and a cafe, it’s a destination that fosters both work and leisure,” its sales material reads.
“Surrounded by an affluent community and connected to expanding infrastructure, Haven
offers easy access to commuter routes and key lifestyle amenities.
“Located in Hope Island Resort and just a stone’s throw from Sanctuary Cove, it’s designed
for those who value convenience and work-life balance.”
Among its approved uses are offices, medical, health and beauty, retail, food and beverage, storage, indoor recreation, catering, education, conference facilities or tourism.
